PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Chemistik Retarder is a water white, liquid admixture for concrete whose primary function is to slow down the rapid hardening of cement i.e. retard the setting time and to increase the strength significantly at all stages by reducing the amount of water required in the mix.

ADVANTAGES:

Chemistik Retarder may be used with all types of cements including the sulphate resisting type. With other forms of cement, test mixes should be carried out to ensure that no undesirable side effects occur. It will also have no harmful effect on reinforced steel, prestressed tendons etc. For any unusual circumstances, our technicians will be happy to give recommendations.

APPLICATIONS:

High ambient temperatures above 40o C
Large pours to prevent 'cold joints'
Delays between mixing and final compaction Long haulage of the ready mixed concrete.
Where vibration through reinforcing steel could reduce the bond between steel and the first areas of the pour.

PACKING:

Available in 5, 20, 200 litres.
